What is Metrorrhagia?

Definition: Metrorrhagia is the type of abnormal uterine bleeding diagnosed when menstruation occurs at irregular intervals. The amount of blood loss during menstruation and the number of days vaginal bleeding occurs are not excessive in patients who have metrorrhagia.
