What is Menorrhagia?

Definition: The type of abnormal uterine bleeding diagnosed when menstrual cycles and menstruation occur on a normal schedule, but the amount of blood flow is excessive and bleeding lasts longer than seven days.

Tip: If you need to change tampons or pads during your period more often than every one or two hours, you might have menorrhagia.
